About

Engineer by training.
Safety professional by calling.

Three countries. One mission. Born and raised in India, forged on the front lines in Qatar, and now home in Saskatchewan, Canada — the “Land of Living Skies.”

2013
India

The Engineer

B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering — and a first job the same year, as a Safety Engineer.

2016
India

The Night Scholar

M.Tech in Industrial Engineering, earned after hours while working full-time.

2021
India → Qatar

The Doctor

PhD at just 28, fusing material science with occupational safety — plus the NEBOSH Diploma (2019), every unit passed first try. Then, Doha.

2021
Qatar

The Frontline

Safety Officer on Doha roadworks with Traffic Tech Gulf — inspections, investigations, trust across cultures.

2024
Canada

The New Canadian

Permanent Resident. Earned the NCSO from SCSA in just two months (Aug–Oct 2024).

2024
Saskatchewan

The Newcomer

Months after landing, Ram joined the Saskatchewan Intercultural Association’s mentorship program — a newcomer learning how Canada works, and being helped to find his feet.

2025
Saskatchewan

The Mentor

One year on, the circle turned: Ram mentored newcomers through the same Saskatchewan Intercultural Association program that had first welcomed him.

2025
Canada

The CRSP®

In early 2025, he joined his first full-time employer in Canada as Safety & Asset Protection Advisor. He cleared the CRSP® in August 2025 — the 8,819th certificant in the designation’s fifty-year legacy.

2026
Saskatchewan

The Builder

His engineering-control idea, executed with his employer’s electrical team, became WCB Saskatchewan’s first manufacturing-sector safety share. The same year, he launched Maple & Mind.

2021 – 2023 · Giving Back

Mentor to the next generation

Even while working in Qatar, Ram mentored engineering students at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Institute of Technology, Panvel — supporting them morally and guiding them as a friend as they began their careers in occupational safety — starting with his 2021 webinar, “Occupational Safety and Health Career Options in India and Abroad,” to some 100 students. The next year, the same college invited him back as a keynote speaker at its National Conference on Modern Trends in Science and Technology (NCMTST-2022), held online on 13 August 2022.

Philosophy

The 6M of Ram

Ask an industrial engineer to explain a career, and he'll give you a framework. Every workplace — and every chapter of Ram's life — runs on six M's.

M1
M

Machine

Mechanical Engineering

Where it started. How machines work, how they wear, and how they can hurt — or protect — the people around them.

M2
M

Method

Industrial Engineering

How work is designed — process, method, system. Design the method well and safety follows; design it badly and no poster can save you.

M3
M

Material

Material Science

What the world is made of. His PhD turned natural fibres into glass-fibre composites strong enough to silence a generator.

M4
M

Man

The Human

The one the other M's exist for. Noise, ergonomics, psychological safety — protecting the man inside the system.

M5
M

Mother Nature

Always

Always Mother Nature. Sugarcane bagasse, eggshell, water hyacinth — nature was his first laboratory, and still sets the standard.

M6
M

Money

Cost-Effective Safety

“A safer workplace, in a cost-effective way” — his own words. Resources are finite; good safety respects money, in plants and in portfolios alike.

2M

Six M's of thinking. Two M's of doing.

The 6M is how Ram thinks. The 2M is what he built from it — MAPLE & MIND, two deliberately simple tools that put clear, structured answers in the hands of the people who need them most: frontline leaders and workers. No jargon. No logins. No waiting for an expert.

M — MAPLE · when something goes wrongM — MIND · how people are doing
His Creed
Make safety simple.

“If something is simple, it brings clarity. If people are clear, they will follow. Build trust and comfort, and unsafe acts disappear. Human error comes only from lapses in skill, knowledge and behaviour — and behaviour is the challenging one. That is why keeping things simple wins, every single time, in every process, wherever possible. Making it possible is the challenge. That is what I love. That is what brings me satisfaction — and the purpose of my life.”
